Automotive electronics enclosure

This project was a full development project from a concept right through to fully functioning prototype.

Brief: Design an aesthetic electronics enclosure to protect the internal computer, communication equipment and antenna that can be mounted on vehicle roof and kept as small as possible. Plan component layout design and mounting to allow all antenna to be mounted 25mm minimum from metal surfaces or electronics. LED indicator to be integrated into the enclosure and heat ducting to be discrete and prevent water ingression.

Result:
An enclosure prototype that was 3d printed (<600mm in length) that had rigid metal based to allow for rigid component mounting and strong magnetic feet to allow for mounting to a vehicle roof. The electronic layout was panned with 3D models to allow client to visualised the set up.

1:32 SCALE  MODELS

This products is an ongoing small scale manufacturing project that was designed and assembled in house.

Brief: Create a replica 1:32 scale model of a PZ haybob with batch manufacturing in mind.

Result:
A high detail 1:32 scale model with some moving parts. The main body of the model is cast brass using a wax 3D printed master model for investment casting. The sprint thines are manufactured by hand and the wheels are 3D printed using our in house resin 3D printers.

MULTI TOOL KEYRING

This project was a quick one day concept to render product concept development cycle.

Brief: Create a compact multi-tool key ring with ease of manufacture in mind.

Result:
Compact light aluminium keyring with protruding spring loaded pins, when the pin are pushed against the the head of the screw the pins fit into the drive slot. The user can then twist and turn the screw.

NEEDLE MELT

This project was a full development project from a concept right through to fully functioning prototype.

Brief: Develop a project to help reduce needle stick injuries.

Result:
Wireless battery operated handheld needle incinerator. The product would aid in the save disposal of used needle by melting the metal needle into little beads, thus removing the needle stick risk. The temperatures at which the needle melts also helps destroy any pathogens or bacteria that may have been present on the needle.
